This program (ACP) is a statewide initiative that offers survivors of stalking, sexual assault, and domestic violence a legal alternative address and mail forwarding services. In accordance with Colorado law, all state and local government agencies are mandated to accept a participant’s substitute address.
The primary objective of the ACP is to augment a comprehensive safety plan and contribute to the enhanced safety of survivors. Since its establishment in July 2008, the ACP has provided assistance to over 12,000 survivors.
